In the heart of downtown Toronto stands a world-class venue bursting with energy and history — Scotiabank Arena. As the home of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors and the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs, it’s not just a sports stadium — it’s a stage for legendary moments, global concerts, and unforgettable memories.
Recently, FH staff and students had the incredible opportunity to explore this iconic arena — a rare behind-the-scenes experience that brought them closer than ever to the spirit of professional sports.
The Grand Entrance & Bird’s Eye View
After receiving our wristbands, our tour began with a brief introduction to Scotiabank Arena (SBA). We then climbed to the highest spectator level, where a breathtaking view awaited us.
Looking down on the arena’s oval layout, rows of red seats, the massive four-sided Jumbotron, and the luxurious VIP suites surrounding the stadium—it was easy to imagine the roaring crowds and electrifying game-day atmosphere.
Inside the Executive Suites
Next, we visited the Executive Rooms on the second floor — the pinnacle of premium game-day experiences. Beautifully furnished with plush seating, a private bar, and high-end dining, these VIP suites offer the best views of the action.
We learned that renting a suite for an event can cost around $15,000 CAD, depending on the occasion. From here, you don’t just watch a game — you experience it in style.
Raptors’ Private Training Court
One of the most exciting stops was the Toronto Raptors’ private practice court, powered by IBM. Equipped with full NBA flooring, pro-level hoops, and training gear, this is where athletes warm up and refine their skills.
Snapping photos here, it was easy to imagine ourselves as players gearing up for a real NBA match — the dream felt that much closer!
Behind Closed Doors — The Locker Rooms
And then, the big reveal: we stepped into the locker rooms of both the Raptors and the Maple Leafs.

Sleek and modern, each player’s locker features their name and jersey number. Inspirational quotes line the walls, reinforcing the strong team identity. Standing in the very room where pro athletes prepare for the game was a surreal and unforgettable experience.

In contrast, the Maple Leafs’ locker room oozes tradition and history. With team photos and championship moments proudly displayed, it’s a shrine to a century of ice hockey excellence — and a deeper connection to Canada’s most beloved sport.
On the Court — A Dream Moment
Then came the highlight — stepping onto the NBA game floor itself.
This is the court where legends like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Stephen Curry have played. As we stood at center court, cameras clicked and hearts raced. It felt like we were about to tip off a big game — a moment of pure adrenaline and awe.
The Grand Finale – Shopping & Ramen
Before heading home, we made a stop at the Real Sports Apparel store, a paradise for fans. From Raptors jerseys to Maple Leafs caps and limited-edition merchandise, the store was filled with collectible treasures. Bonus: we enjoyed a 10% discount with our tour wristbands!
To wrap up this thrilling day, we gathered at Kinton Ramen and shared a delicious meal, laughing over highlights from the trip and reflecting on the inspiring energy of the arena.
